Hydraulic metal structures and construction machinery

POWERCHINA has proven technology for hydraulic metal structures and construction machinery, skilled workforce, and advance plants and equipment, such as CNC milling and flame cutting machines and powerful bore honing machines.

POWERCHINA has designed and manufactured thousands of tons of metal components and more than 3,000 pieces of equipment for water conservancy and hydropower projects, including large-size hydraulic gates, bridges, ship lifts, and cable ways. The 12 spillway gates and 24 ogee gates on permanent ship locks for the Three Gorges Project are recognized as the highest level of ship lock steel structures in China. Moreover, the hoisting winches, hydraulic hoists and gantry cranes have been recognized as “Prestigious Brand of Sichuan Province ", while the overhead travelling cranes have been used in lifting turbine-generator units in power plants, and handling materials at docks.

POWERCHINA has the intellectual property rights to the advanced technology and production of luffing, radial and parallel traveling cableways and the technologies used in and capacities of manufacturing these equipment have been the best in China. 47 cable cranes were used at the Three Gorges Project. Ship lifts made by POWERCHINA have been used by various projects, such as Yantan (250-t vertical ship lift) and Gaobazhou (300-t), etc. and have been praised as the “China’s Engine of Self-improvement”, by Pan Jiazheng, member of the Chinese Academy and Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. POWERCHINA has also developed low-, medium-, and high- pressure fully hydraulic concrete pumps, which are in wide application at different construction sites.
