He became a star two years ago when the sad sight of a boy with no legs dancing on his hospital bed to the hit song Little Apple went viral. Thanks to the attention generated by the video, the 6-year-old boy has received a blessing out of his misfortune.
Little Haifeng, who lost his legs in an accident, is now taking a few cautious steps all by himself, without even a walking stick.
The money donated by people who viewed his energetic dancing was used to pay for urethra surgery and artificial limbs. The boy has also had the chance to attend several summer and winter camps.
Some were concerned Haifeng would struggle to cope with the psychological pressure as he grew old enough to understand his own situation but the cheerful spirit demonstrated in his dancing is as strong as ever.
