The square dancing or guang chang wu is a popular pastime among older Chinese women, who can often be spotted displaying their moves in open areas in the city. There's a growing chorus of complaints in society about the loud music late at night. If it's near a mall or public square, there is no problem, but when it's near apartment blocks and disturbs residents, it would be better if the government regulates it, just like in many western countries.
