Mentougou's Sijiashui village has cultivated Chinese toon for more than 600 years. Local Chinese toon used be supplied to royal families. Now, the village has a plantation area of more than 1,300 mu (86.6 hectares).

Toons have a big head, bright red color, strong fragrance and tender flesh. The village is 1,290 meters above sea level and with good soil conditions. Freshly-picked toon also has a touch of lilac fragrance.

Chinese folk lore says that eating toon in spring can hold off diseases, and is rich in protein, calcium, vitamin C and other nutrients.

Driving: Enter national road G109 from downtown Mentougou, and drive 15 kilometers along the Nanyan road after Dongfanghong tunnel.
