A: The United States strengthened its military presence in the Asia-Pacific region as part of its own policies and benefits. It also proved the region’s energy and potential and its increasing importance in the world.

Asia is home to China, and China's development is inseparable from Asia in the political, economical and historical aspects. We have the condition and ability to deal with the neighboring diplomacy.

China and the United States share a lot of common interests in Asia. It's inevitable to have some frictions, but cooperation is the main goal. And the two countries' cooperation will help to maintain the region's peace and stability, which is the desire of all the countries in the region.

In recent years, China and the United States worked together through top leaders' visits, strategic and economic dialogues, and Asia-Pacific affairs consultation. Those exchanges enhance confidence, promote cooperation, and construct a sound interactive structure for the two countries in the Asia-Pacific region.

China will not provoke anything but is not afraid of any provocation. And we have bottom line. China made its own decision to stay on the peaceful development road. We are determined to protect our benefits and seek peace, development and cooperation in the meantime.

Many have noticed we had many vigorous diplomatic activities with neighboring countries at the end of last year and some netizens asked me whether it was aimed at the United States.
