LANZHOU - Six people were killed and six others injured after a truck crashed from rear into their van traveling on a highway in northwest China's Gansu province on Friday, local police said.

The van, owned by a county court in the city of Qingyang, was carrying 12 people including ten court staffers when the crash occurred at about 11:45 am No one on the truck was injured.

Police are investigating the cause of the crash while the wounded passengers were hospitalized.
