NEW YORK - A poll released on Tuesday found that US President Barack Obama had a 59 percent favorability among New York voters, a 27 percentage point lead over Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney.

The Siena College poll also found that 53 percent of New Yorkers polled want to see the federal Affordable Care Act advocated by Obama fully implemented and 37 percent want it repealed.

Nevertheless, one in five voters said the law will increase health care access, and only one in eight said it will reduce their health care costs, according to the poll.

"Overall, a plurality of New Yorkers agree with the Supreme Court's decision that (the law) is constitutional and a majority want to see the law fully implemented rather than repealed," Siena pollster Steven Greenberg said in a statement.

The poll was conducted July 10-15 among 758 registered voters.
