Exporters must heed changes in consumer behavior

Andrew Robertson, head of BBDO, one of the largest ad companies in the world, told China Daily that Chinese exporters must take heed to the major changes in consumer behavior as a result of the global recession.

Shoppers in North America and West Europe now spend 20 percent more time deciding a buy, mostly to check labels and compare with their budget. But this is also the time for Chinese companies to build their brands, he said.
