Woman shot on balcony

A woman surnamed Tao was shot on the balcony of her mother's house while chatting with her brother on Thursday in Wenzhou, Zhejiang province. Tao, who is a head nurse, said she heard a "bang" all of a sudden before something hit the left side of her butt. "It hurt a lot and I cried," she recalled. Tao's family found a wound on her left butt and took her to hospital.

X-ray showed a metal foreign body 20-centimeter-deep inside her butt and it took the doctors two hours to take it out.

According to police, the metal body was not a bullet, but more likely a pellet fired by air rifle. The case is under investigation.
