This photo taken on Jan 12,2016 shows the picturesque scenery of the Hani rice terraces in Yuanyang county, Yunnan province. The Hani terraces were listed as a World Heritage Site in 2013. The place is a living cultural landscape which is defined by the World Heritage Committee as cultural properties that represent "the combined works of nature and of man", and features sustainable interactions among the inhabitants, terrace and rivers.[Photo/Xinhua] |
