Lan Kwai Fong is walking distance from Central Ferry Pier. It's one of Hong Kong's most popular and vibrant nightlife locales, chockablock with restaurants and bars.
The Peak is also a high point for visitors to the island, in every sense of the term.
The top of 554-meter-high mount is the highest point in Hong Kong. It offers a panorama of sparkling skyscrapers and Victoria Harbor that's especially glittering at night.
I took the historical Peak Tram to ascend to the free-entry observation deck, where telescopes enable viewers to zoom in on the buildings.
My thoughts wandered back to Lisa and the other sea creatures at Ocean Park.
As I prepared to leave Hong Kong, I recalled how she and her friends flapped their flippers to wave a splashy farewell as I got out of their pool.
Indeed, parting is such sweet sorrow.

Flights from Beijing to Hong Kong are about three hours. Arrivals at Hong Kong's airport can rent portable Wi-Fi routers, and buy Octopus Cards for public transport and shopping. Airport Expresses and public buses run until midnight.
