China, Australia, Jamaica for HK Lunar New Year Cup

BEIJING -- The Olympic teams of China, Australia, Jamaica and a Hong Kong selection team will participate in the Lunar New Year Cup 2007 starting on Sunday.

While Australia and Jamaica are preparing for the 2008 Olympic Games, China, who guarantee automatic entry as hosts, have just finished a month-long training session in Europe.

The competition will be played on the first and fourth day of the Lunar New Year holidays (February 18th and 21st) at the Hong Kong Stadium on a knockout basis.

The schedule includes two matches on the first day of the Lunar New Year (February 18) and the playoff for third/fourth place and the final on the fourth day of the Lunar New Year (February 21).
