A whole-vehicle inventory checking system based on unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) and radio frequency identification (RFID), invented by Chang'an Minsheng APLL Logistics Co, was put into operation in Liangjiang New Area, Chongqing on Dec 5.

Being the first of its kind in China, the system was self-developed by Chang'an Minsheng.

The advantage of RFID lies in its ability to read labels without contact within a certain range, allowing the system to collect car information through UAVs and RFID readers that automatically follow a planned path.

The RFID readers generate real time data on the whole-vehicle, making it possible to display and manage the vehicles for sale in the parking lot dynamically.

The systems shortens the inventory process to just seconds per vehicle, with a 100 percent accuracy rate and an efficiency improvement of 300 percent compared with traditional inventory methods.

The system is integrated with the internet of things, big data and artificial intelligence technologies. It represents the latest achievement of Chang'an Minsheng APLL Logistics, who are leaders in the automobile logistics industry.

Liangjiang government strives to upgrade its logistics by reducing costs and promoting the development of both Liangjiang and Chongqing in the international market.
