The Chongqing-Xinjiang-Europe international railway has entered a new stage. The return train promotion conference of the Chongqing-Xinjiang-Europe international railway and the inauguration ceremony of the Chongqing Municipal Government Logistics Europe Liaison Office were held in the China Center of Dusseldorf, Germany, on May 23. The ceremony marks that construction of the Chongqing-Xinjiang-Europe international railway has entered a new historical stage.

At the promotion conference, Dong Jianguo, deputy secretary general of the Chongqing municipal government, introduced the development of Chongqing's economy. Chongqing Logistics introduced information of return trains on the Chongqing-Xinjiang-Europe international railway. They invited European corporations to take full advantage of this opportunity in boosting trade and logistics exchanges to achieve mutual development.

According to She Weihua, commercial counselor of the Consulate General of China in Frankfurt, the Chongqing-Xinjiang-Europe international railway helps support the Yangtze River and Silk Road economic belts. With the joint effort of Chinese and German business communities, Chongqing and North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) will further show their value and promote Sino-German economic and trade relations.

Ms Petra Wosenle, director of the Germany NRW Investment Promotion Bureau; Mr Korkman, director of the Dusseldorf City Economic Promotion Bureau; and Mr. Roland Clewett, head of HP's European railway, congratulated the establishment of the liaison office. Korkman said the liaison office would rely on the Chongqing-Xinjiang-Europe international railway to strengthen cooperation and promote China-EU trade on a new level. In the end, the Consulate General of China in Frankfurt, the NRW Investment Promotion Bureau, the Dusseldorf City Economic Promotion Bureau and the Chongqing municipal government jointly inaugurated the Europe liaison office of Chongqing Logistics.

Next, the Europe liaison office of Chongqing Logistics will build cargo centers in Belgium, the Netherlands, Hungary, Poland, Russia and other countries.
