Consumer goods retail grows steadily in Sanmenxia

The total retail sales of consumer goods achieved 4.35 billion yuan ($649.4 million) in May, with a year-on-year growth of 11.2 percent, the second fastest growth in Henan province.

The retail sales of consumer goods of units above designated size grew steadily, and reached a total of 3.95 billion yuan, rising by 15.8 percent compared to the corresponding period of 2017.

Online retailing in May also increased at a rapid rate, with online merchandise sales standing at nearly 30 million yuan, up 27.4 percent over the same period last year.

Over the first five months of 2018, retail sales of automobiles, petroleum and related products, traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine, cereals, oils and foodstuffs, and textile, saw a year-on-year growth of 15.3 percent.

According to the statistics released by Sanmenxia statistics bureau, the development among counties remained unbalanced.
