Penglai Water City

Penglai Water City used to be a port city during the Sui and Tang dynasties. In the Ming Dynasty, it became an important military fortress. It is now a State-level heritage unit. There is a museum of boats in the water city, displaying ancient boats from Dengzhou, a district near Shandong Peninsular. The museum covers an exhibition area of some 5,000 sq m.
