We, Shanghai Intellectual Property Administration of the Shanghai Municipal Government, P.R.C. (SIPA) are pleased to announce plans for the International Forum on Intellectual Property & Self-Innovation, to be held in the Shanghai International Convention Center, 2727 Riverside Avenue Pudong on December 1st, 2006. The Forum will last for 1 day.
About the Forum:
The Forum is designed to bring together the voices of senior government officials, entrepreneurs, specialists and renowned personalities both from China and aboard in the field of Intellectual Property and Technology Innovation.
The Forum is to provide an interactive platform for exchanges among government bodies, enterprises, research & academic institutions. Through dialogue, discussion and speeches, achievements and experience on Intellectual Property and Innovation will be exchanged between countries and regions, IPR opportunities and challenges confronting industries will be explored, and approaches for promoting Self-Innovation will be sought.
This Forum is the 4th International Forum organized by SIPA. SIPA has successfully organized the International Forum on Intellectual Property & Enterprises’ Competitiveness on 2003, the International Forum on Intellectual Property & City’s Competitiveness on 2004, and the International Forum on Intellectual Property Protection & Creative Industries Development on 2005.
Major Topics of the Forum:
1. Intellectual Property system and the construction of innovation-oriented countries.
2. Intellectual Property and the integration of education, research and industry.
3. Self-innovation and patent technology industrialization.
