Overview of the Fair

China Cross-Straits Technology and Projects Fair is held once a year in Fuzhou from June 18th -20th. The theme of the Fair is: Project-Technology-Capital-Human Resources. 

It is sponsored by Fujian Provincial People's Government, with Fujian Provincial Development and Reform Commission as the organizer and governments at the municipal level and relevant departments directly under Fujian Provincial People's Government as co-organizers.

China Cross-Straits Technology and Projects Fair ("June 18th" Fair for short) serves as a platform of technical innovation and a major exhibition for effective linkage-up of project, technology, capital and human resources.

The Fair aims to promote the commercialization of research findings and improve comprehensive economic quality. It is held annually in Fuzhou from June 18th to 20th with four sessions successfully launched up to 2006.

China Cross-Straits Technology and Projects Fair is a major measure to implement the scientific outlook on development and promote the construction of the Economic Zone on the West Coast of the Taiwan Straits.

It is an important driving force to further carry out the strategy of project-motivation and strengthen the staying power of economic development. It is also an effective platform for enhancing the capability of independent innovation and upgrading the economic development level.

Those invited to the Fair include universities, research institutes, enterprises, individual investors, financial institutions and talents with research findings at home and abroad. While presenting advanced and applicable research findings and enterprises' technical requirements in a two-way manner, it gives prominence to project linkage-up with research findings and solutions to technical requirements.

The Fair fully embodies the measures taken for overall planning, coordination and upgraded development. It also serves as a carrier for enhancing concerted efforts and a stage for gathering essential factors with the curtain of which never falling.

Modes of Cooperation with Enterprises in Fujian

Technology transfer: transfer of patents, trademarks, specific industrial design and technology IPR. Investing with Technology: becoming a shareholder through the provision of technology with production operated either in China or overseas. Wholly-owned investment in technological projects: exclusive technology and capital input in project development. Cooperation in technological projects: through joint venture or cooperation in project development. Licensed manufacture: licensed manufacture using foreign technology. Technical services: foreign specialists and consultants offering technical services to domestic enterprises on technological enhancements and technical training.

Overseas Pavilion Exhibition Hall

The Overseas Pavilion is located in the main exhibition hall and is divided into three areas: the Exhibition Area, the Negotiation Area and the Professional Services Area.

The Exhibition Area: partitioned by country and region, this area is for high-tech companies, multi-national corporations, foreign academies, scientific & research institutes and professional associations to display their products and services.

The Negotiation Area: this area is provided for discussion and negotiation among all participating exhibitors and interested visitors.

The Professional Services Area: this services area offers advice and support in 1) Financial services: the area is set up for foreign banks, such as financial institutions and venture capital enterprises to provide financial services.

2) Policy consultation: Free consultations on foreign investment regulations and preferential policies with regard to investment and trade within the region.

Services Provided

All exhibition booths are provided free (3m×3m of international standard). We provide accommodation (board and lodging) during the exhibition free of charge for foreign exhibitors invited.

Medical insurance will be covered by exhibitors. We can arrange for the publication of company information. We assist in relevant arrangements of booths, such as booth setup, delivery and transportation. The exhibitors are responsible for the booth set-up fee (price available on request).

We invite appropriate Chinese enterprises for on-the-spot discussions at the Fair. We assist in arranging business investigations and providing related services during and after the Fair.
