Yellow River Delta News Net opens in Dongying

On Wednesday, the Yellow River Delta News Net and Shandong News Net Dongying channel opened in Dongying, a northern city in Shandong province.
The Yellow River Delta News Net is the first multilingual integrated network of Shandong’s Yellow River Delta Economic Zone, based in Yellow River Delta and servicing Bohai Sea.
According to Han Shuguang, chief director of the Yellow River Delta News Net, it is organized by Shandong news net, which was started in September 2009. The network includes 22 channels covering Yellow River Delta’s economic, culture, insight and the government.
Liu Baoju, Vice Minister of Shandong Provincial Party Committee Publishing Department, said that “Yellow River Delta covers six cities and 19 districts. This net platform will promote the ecological environment and investment of Yellow River Delta through different forms”.
Preparations Conference for Summit Forum on China's Internet media propelling Yellow River Delta Development was also held the same day, and the Summit Forum will be held in April.
Located in the northern part of Shandong province, the Yellow River Delta is the last river delta that is not developed. It is called the Golden Delta, with rich natural resources as well as cultural resources. The ecological system here is unique and forms a well-diversified industrial base model for economic development.
The plan was endorsed by the State Council last November, making it a part of the national strategy. Since the founding of New China, Shandong province is the first to enter the country level development strategies, and China's first eco-efficient economy.
