gMany people, including his coach Sun Haiping, cried after Liu Xiang was forced by injury to pull out of the110 metre hurdles. Most people, in my opinion, did not cry for China losing the opportunity to get a gold medal, but rather for their deep love of Liu Xiang himself.
Yes, he is a proud of China. What's more, he is a good man, hard working, confident and strong-willed. All athletes want to win a medal at the Olympic Games and for years have prepared for the moment of victory. Liu, of course, is one of them. But, his foot injury forced him to give up. It is a tough decision for any one who has stood in the racing area, a place they have dreamed of for many years.
When we saw Liu's back, we all understood his feelings as well as his decision .That is why I think so many people burst into tears.
