Image and look of Beijing Olympic torch relay released

Organizers of the Beijing Olympics have unveiled the image and look of the Summer Games torch relay. The torch bearers will wear uniforms with a pattern of phoenix and clouds.
The torch bearer's uniform combines white with Chinese red. The phoenix demonstrating Chinese culture is ready to fly.
The red was changed into blue on the uniforms of the escort runners.
In addition to uniforms, the image design of the torch relay also includes the torch, the convoy and chartered aircraft, the backdrop, and the city itself.
The lanterns that will be part of the relay were also unveiled. Their inspiration comes from traditional lanterns in ancient Chinese palaces.
It's hoped the relay will capture the true spirt of the games.

The torch will be lit in Athens on March 24th. From there 22,000 torch bearers will carry the flame for 131 days through 134 cities around the world.
