The Yun’an International Convention Center in the Yun’an Auditorium Hotel opened on Sept 12 after four months of trial operations, Xinhua.net reported.

The conference room of the Convention Center is 2,200 square-meters, and reaches a height of 12 meters. It has a maximum capacity of 2,000 people. According to s staff member of the Center, this conference room is the biggest and highest of all the conference rooms in Yunnan’s hotels. Also, it is the only one that permits cars to be directly driven into the conference room.

“The operation of the Yun’an International Convention Center has largely improved the meeting capacity in Kunming,” said Li Aixi, a general manager in Yun’an’s Auditorium Corporation.

The convention center has also introduced a simultaneous interpretation system, an electronic voting system and a conference speech and voice control system to improve the services of conferences.
