The Urumqi science and technological bureau gave training to over 120 patent service providers from Nov 21 to 27 as part of China’s 10th patent week.

Liu Shanjiu, an authority from the State Intellectual Property Office, detailed patent-related policies and the impact on local companies of the policy of cutting patent filling fees effective Sept 1 this year.

Another lecturer, Li Xiliang, a national intelligence property rights expert, made speeches on mass entrepreneurship and innovation and patent formation and distribution.

The training received active feedback not only from those in attendance but also from others not present as it was live-broadcast on Zhangmen, a knowledge sharing platform.
