Well, here it is, another heavy snowfall on Mount Wutai, on Jan 24, with the sacred site bathed in snow, giving it distinct silvery, peaceful feeling and a quieter, holier atmosphere.

All of the mountain's spectacular temples, halls, towers, carvings and the frescoes seem more solemn and pure, against the white backdrop but the snow didn't stop visitors from coming, and quite the contrary, they seemed enchanted by the scene.

"There's a sense of exhilaration wandering around in such a pure land. I feel like all the unpleasant things of life are washed away by the snow," declared one visitor from Fujian province said with delight.
