Wutai Temple is in the town of Doucun and is the first temple to welcome you after you enter Buddhist site on Mount Wutai, via the western route. It was built during the Zhengde period of the Wuzong reign of the Ming Dynasty (ca. 1506) and has suffered considerable dmage over the years but remains popular among pilgrims, because of its respected Dragon King Bodhisattva who, it is said, can control the weather, halt disasters, and answer every one of your prayers.
