Taiwan Students Application Guidelines for the 2019 Undergraduate Programs

(Without Sitting the Entrance Examination)

Application Prerequisites

1.Applicants must be Taiwan residents with a valid ID card and hold a mainland travel permit for Taiwan residents.

2.Applicants much have attained a senior high school diploma, along with an academic record at the 2019 Taiwan University Entrance Examination Subject Ability Test.

3.Applicants must be in good health and show proper behavior.

Application Timeline

March 20, 2019—April 30, 2019. Late applications will not be considered.

Application Procedures

1.Applicants should apply online at http://siee.sxu.edu.cn/zsxx/

Applicants are expected to keep their e-mail address on and check their online application account and email regularly as SXU’s Admissions Office will contact them when necessary.

2.Mail Application Documents

Applicants must provide true and correct information in all application documents.

*2019 Shanxi University Admission Application Form for Taiwan Students (Without Sitting the Entrance Examination), which should be printed out and signed, bearing the stamp of the School.

*Copy of valid ID card and mainland travel permit for Taiwan residents

*High school diploma or Certificate of Expected Graduation, bearing the stamp of the School.

1)Graduating high school students should submit a Certificate of Expected Graduation or Student Certificate issued by their high schools.

2)High school graduates should submit their formal high school diplomas.

*Test report of their Taiwan University Entrance Examination Subject Ability Test, bearing the stamp of the School.

*(No-must certificates) Certificates for extracurricular activities and social activities during high school; Certificates of personal talent, with a photocopy of the award certificate.

*Applicants for entry into majors related to Art and Sports should submit additional materials as follows:

1)Materials for visual communications and design, environmental design, public art, fine arts, sculpture and painting:

A painting, calligraphy or design work created by the applicant. Take a photo of the work and submit the photo in JPG format; applicants who submit a design work must also provide the electronic document of the design idea.

2)Materials for music performance (vocal direction):

A video of applicants singing a selected song (time not more than 3 minutes)

3)Materials for music performance (musical instrument direction):

A video of applicants playing a musical instrument (time not more than 3 minutes)

4)Materials for dance choreographer:

A video of applicants dancing (time not more than 3 minutes)

5)Materials for drama, film and television literature:

An electronic document of a 2000-word (or above ) film story summary created by the applicant

6)Materials for physical education, social sports guidance and management, sports training:

A video recording the best sport performances of the applicants ( time no more than 3 minutes)

The above materials should be sent by express mail to the Office 105 of Shanxi University International Education Exchange College, No 92, Wucheng Road, Xiaodian district, Taiyuan city, Shanxi province, before the registration deadline. Alternatively, the materials may be directly delivered to Office 105 of Shanxi University International Education Exchange College, No 92, Wucheng Road, Xiaodian district, Taiyuan city, Shanxi province.

7)After the above materials are mailed, a PDF electronic version of the documents must be emailed to hanhh@sxu.edu.cn.

Please note that applicants are expected to submit a complete set of application materials and will be held accountable for the authenticity of their documents. Incomplete or forged materials will be rejected. All the application materials will not be returned.
