A discipline inspection and supervision team from the Ministry of Education visited Shanxi University (SXU) in Taiyuan on Aug 2, to check up on the enrollment work after the college entrance examination.

The team aims to urge local colleges and universities to strictly implement the national admissions policy and smoothly complete this year's enrollment work.

SXU President Jia Suotang firstly welcomed the inspection team on behalf of the school to give guidance for the enrollment work.

Vice-President Yin Jie gave a detailed report on the overall situation of enrollment work in the school, the basic conditions and practices of enrollment policies and rules.

The inspection team conducted detailed enquiries on the implementation of the school's enrollment plan, and reviewed the documents related to enrollment work.

Xing Yunhe, head of the inspection team, praised the strict implementation of national enrollment plan and policies of Shanxi University.

He stressed that enrollment is a major event for the whole society, and school leaders and relevant personnel must shoulder the responsibility of guaranteeing the quality of admission work.
