Datong environmental protection makes progress
Putting the focus on “21 tasks” of environmental protection, Datong environmental protection department said, they have an environmental priority this year.
According to the “2014 Datong Atmospheric Pollution Prevention Action Plan”, one of the air pollution control targets is not to enter the heavily polluted top 10 among China’s 161 major cities. Also, the concentration of inhalable particulates decreased by more than 2% and the fine particle concentration decreased around 4% compared with 2013.
To ensure the “21 tasks” completed, Datong will carry out reconstruction work among steel companies, cement companies, coal-fired boilers and dust removal facilities in accordance with the new industry standard. Conduct a comprehensive clean-up of enterprises in industries with excess production capacity.
