A winter golf camp was launched in Taiyuan, Shanxi province with the aim of promoting the sport to teenagers, on Nov 18.
The winter camp will teach teens the basics of the sport, including gripping, putting and hitting. The camp will also offer indoor international-level golf simulators able to collect data through sensors and provide analysis of a player's strokes.
We hope that more teenagers will be attracted to playing golf and that they will enjoy their time at the camp, said Cao Jun, deputy secretary-general of Shanxi Golf Association.
Sponsored by Shanxi Sports Bureau, the winter golf camp, which is being held at Mego International Golf College in Shanxi Sports Center, will last until February 2018.
