A charity event offering children in poor regions more opportunities to receive art education took place in Taiyuan on Jan 7.
The event, initiated by Shanxi Association for Promoting Private Business, called on entrepreneurs across Shanxi to give financial assistance to children from poor families so that they can have equal access to art education.
An art foundation was launched by businesses from 11 cities in Shanxi to provide free art training for disadvantaged children. With the sponsorship, they can take part in art courses, Shanxi Art Rank Examination hosted by the Chinese Musicians' Association and art camps. Outstanding trainees will be recommended to enter art competitions.
