Covering an area of 90,000 square meters with 19 courtyards and gardens, 640 rooms and 9 castle gates, the complex comprises ancient homes of literary men and folk houses. It is surrounded by a wall 1,700 meters long and 12 meters high, designed for strong defense from inside and out.

Take anything you know about the Chinese countryside and wash it away in the running rivers of Taihang Mountain.

The canyon leading to the summit is a pristine treasury of fauna and flora and one of the most impressive natural scenes I have ever seen.

The whole area was quiet and peaceful on the day of our visit. We stood in awe of our surroundings. You can sense the Chinese countryside, its sounds and smells.
