Shanghai Happy Valley and Shanghai Playa Maya Water Park, two popular attractions in Shanghai Sheshan National Tourist Resort, bagged three of the 2021 Golden Crown awards.

Shanghai Happy Valley was awarded "Outstanding Theme Park (Land)", Shanghai Playa Maya Water Park was awarded "Outstanding Water Park", and Shanghai Happy Valley's EV Electronic Music Festival was awarded "Outstanding Theme Activities Award".

Asia Attractions, a professional magazine in China's culture and tourism industry, recently published the list of winners. Asia Attractions welcomed businesses and industry professionals to participate in the selection of outstanding role models for the 2021 Golden Crown Awards.

The Golden Crown Awards are one of China's most prestigious awards in the amusement industry. It helps boost the development of China's amusement and entertainment industry by recognizing excellent enterprises, promoting well-known brands, and lobbying for innovative services.

The OCT Group manages both parks. The company stated that it will continue to push a more comprehensive convergence of culture and tourism.

Shanghai Happy Valley is one of the largest theme parks with the most advanced technology, high-quality amusement facilities, and most abundant cultural activities in China. In recent years, it has designed and hosted a variety of cultural tourism events that have become popular among young people.

The EV Electronic Music Festival, a popular summer event in Shanghai Happy Valley, features performances by idols and famous musical artists from China and overseas, as well as a host of nighttime entertainment activities. According to the municipal culture and tourism bureau, Shanghai Happy Valley's 2020 EV Electronic Music Festival was voted one of the top 15 most popular events in 2020, based on an online poll by Shanghai residents.
