The Shanghai Sheshan National Tourist Resort, located in Shanghai's Songjiang district, is known as the "backyard garden of Shanghai".

Mountains and forests are among the national resort's unique natural resources in Shanghai. The resort has 12 mountains that run 13 kilometers from southwest to northeast.

The resort is more than just beautiful scenery. It combines a natural world, cultural and sports venues, theme parks, and hotels, allowing visitors to take in magnificent scenery, learn about Shanghai's history through well-preserved relics, and have fun on rides.

To gratify guests, the resort's tourist attractions host a variety of activities such as flower shows, music festivals, and festive celebrations. According to the municipal culture and tourism bureau, Shanghai Happy Valley's 2020 EV Electronic Music Festival was voted one of the top 15 most popular events in 2020, based on an online poll by Shanghai residents.

The activities and seasonal scenery make the resort an attractive destination throughout the year. Every year, thousands of tourists from Shanghai and beyond flock to the resort, especially during the holiday seasons.

The resort is now home to five 4A-level tourist attractions: Shanghai Happy Valley, Guangfulin Cultural Relics Park, Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden, Shanghai Sheshan National Forest Park and Shanghai Moon Lake Sculpture Park.

There are three five-star hotels, namely InterContinental Shanghai Wonderland, Yuluxe Sheshan and Sofitel Shanghai Sheshan Oriental Resort.

It is also home to a number of high-level sports venues like Sheshan International Golf Club and Shanghai Tianma Circuit. Last year, the resort was designated as a national demonstration base for sports tourism.

The resort is striving to improve digital tourism services to improve tourists' experiences. Shanghai Shimao Dream City and Guangfulin Cultural Relics Park in the resort have been listed in the first batch of Shanghai's digital scenic spots.
