The recently completed Shanghai Disney Resort in Pudong New District started a trial run on May 7 ahead of its official opening scheduled for June 16, Pudong Times reported.

During the trial, the resort is open to its employees, partners and stakeholders, who will experience and test entertainment programs, rides, performances and food.

The trial run is expected to find out the resort's maximum visitor capacity and discover any issues for security, management, traffic, and tourist service in advance and come up with related solutions. The trial operation attracted the attention of local government leaders, with Shen Xiaoming, Party chief of Pudong visiting the resort on the first day of the trail run.

Shen expected that the resort's administration will do its job well during the trial run, to help ensure the successful opening of the resort in June.
