The innovation park established by Wenzhou in Jiading, which went into operation on Dec 16, has attracted a group of Wenzhou-based auto companies to the district.
The automobile industry is Jiading's trump card. It has many followers across the country, who aim to start businesses in the district and harvest their own fruits from this fertile ground.
Wenzhou-based Huayuan Automobile Parts Co is one of Jiading's fans. Its businesses mainly focus on high-strength fasteners for vehicles, such as rear cover and seat locking systems and engine compartment fasteners. It has obtained dozens of product patents and has renowned names including Toyota, Mazda and Fiat among its customers.
The company decided to open up a research and development (R&D) center as soon as it heard about the innovation park, and has now put its 300-square-meter branch into operation.
"Jiading is an automobile town," said Wang Xiaobo, manager of the company. "Its solid industrial foundation can boost our progress and strengthen us with qualified professionals. We hope to incubate projects with nearby colleges and institutes and put more practical products into the market."
