As midsummer approaches, a summer carnival was launched at Juyuan Orchard in Shanghai's Jiading district on July 19.

The carnival has rolled out six special and themed events, including a shining lights festival, a Jurassic dinosaur exhibition, a bubbles party and a gourmet festival.
When night falls, light shows are staged, with over 100 light scenes creating a glamorous wonderland for visitors. A big windmill, an animal world and a steam locomotive invite visitors to a mysterious world of lights and colors.
"It's romantic and amazing," said a visitor surnamed Wang.

In addition, children had great fun at the bubbles party. Equipped with colorful raincoats and smiles on their faces, they jumped into the giant aeration tank and played happily during the event.

In the gourmet festival area, visitors can enjoy delicacies such as hotdogs, ice-cream and seafood.
The 38-day event will last until August 25.
