Annual legislative session opens in NE China

The Jilin Provincial People's Congress opened its annual session on Monday, Jan 26, in the capital, Changchun.
Jiang Chaoliang, the provincial governor, addressed the gathering and gave a?government report on work in the past year and also a work plan for the coming year to the 449 assembled deputies.
Jilin's Party secretary, Bayinchaolu, hosted the meeting.
