People gathered quickly when they saw officials from the Zhangjiagang price bureau giving out a price list at the Yongxin Community of Yangtze International Metallurgical Industrial Park in Jinfeng town of Zhangjiagang, Jiangsu province, on July 23.

More than 100 prices involving electricity, water, natural gas, elderly nursing homes and digital TVs are listed in detail for citizens to check.

Shen Yiping, deputy director of the Zhangjiagang price bureau, said it will be easier for people to supervise charges. In the past, many people were not clear of the prices, including what they should be charged. “We often get complaints and want to improve the situation by using the list,” Shen said.
