The city of Vicenza, Italy, established a sister city relationship with Wuxi on October 16, 2006.

Located in Veneto district, Vicenza is 180 kilometers away from the eastern Milan. With Venice to its east, it has an area of 2,772 square kilometers and a population of 800,000. Its main industries are machinery, textiles and leather, all with a high degree inopening-up.
