Jiangnan University has added as many as 234 intelligent classrooms which are now not only available for all the students, but for the faculties also.

These intelligent classrooms feature many important scientific and modern equipment compared to earlier common multimedia classrooms.

Among the new features, centralized online control system is adopted with two newly installed cameras in each room, which will facilitate supervision in teaching. Electronic whiteboards has replaced traditional blackboards, which help realize clean and interactive teaching. Removable tables and chairs make it easy for real-time group discussions.

And teachers now have their intelligent podium, with a "class open" button to setup all the teaching equipment and a "class over" button to close. The computer on the podium has touch-sensitive display and is flexible in height.

While digital wireless microphones are fixed above the podium and underneath the whiteboard, which amplifies teachers' voices so that students sitting at the back of the classroom can also get clear information.

Mr. Yu, Teaching Equipment Section Chief of Jiangnan University said on the new addition in the university, "These intelligent classrooms will surely optimize class efficiency and enhance faculty and students' satisfaction."
