The Maxiaohui culture salon, located in Zhouzhuang, is a typical ancient architecture of the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties.

Ma Xiaohui, a celebrated erhu (a Chinese traditional stringed instrument) player, holds a gathering with erhu lovers on April 12.

Ma said, “I came to Zhouzhuang several years ago, and I was deeply impressed by its clean river, weeping willow and quiet life.”
