The Dutch-style park in Hongshan district, Wuhan, is a wonderful tourist destination that one cannot miss. It is one of a large number of parks in Wuhan, capital of Central China’s Hubei province.

The large automatically rotating windmill on the hill, measuring 13 meters high with a blade radius of 7 meters, is a symbol of the Netherlands, a kingdom of windmills.

There is an artificial lake in the center of the park. Tulips, dahlias and daffodils, the typical plants of the Netherlands, add an exotic flavor to the park.

Different from other parks in Wuhan, the Dutch-style park is always filled with a literary atmosphere.

A lawn concert was held in the park on March 23. Visitors can enjoy the sunshine and music under the windmill. Young people also gather in the park to share common interests like music and guitar.

Many tourists take self-portraits in the park. They take photos while holding a marshmallow, or standing by the lavenders or gerbera, and share their experiences with others on the web.
