In the evening of July 13 , Ruzhou Art Association of Henan Quju (opera derived from ballad singing) gave performances to the Ruzhou Urban Nursing Home. The place was packed with the seniors who watched attentively the excellent programs prepared by the association.
On May 16, 2011, the association was officially set up in an attempt to enhance face to face exchanges between Quju fans and promote extensive mass Quju activities. Former performers from Quju troupe, prestigious artists and graduates of drama school together made up the association. It is reported that the performances at the nursing home was its debut. The association plans to present 60 shows this year in factories, barracks, schools, communities, and farms so to make Quju art flourish everywhere in Ruzhou.
