In 2018, 6,982 cataract surgeries were performed in Nanyang Ophthalmological Hospital, ranking first in Henan province.

II. Requirements

1. Poor cataract patients should have a poverty certificate and identity card for medical care of urban and rural residents issued by their village (neighborhood committee).

2. They will receive special assistance funds from the hospital after they are reimbursed by the new rural cooperative medical insurance upon discharge.
