Anpeng trona ore is located in Anpeng town, Tongbai county. Based on the research report made by the Ministry of Chemical Industry and the Department of Geology and Mineral Resources in 1990, alkaline mineral reserves in Anpeng rank first in Asia and fourth in the world with their high grade and fine quality. According to the geological report by the No 4 geological survey team of Henan province in 1986, 118.44 million tons of grade C+D reserves in Anpeng trona ore have been ascertained, and the alkaline minerals which are as thick as over 0.2 meters have 17 layers. Currently, Anpeng trona ore is the largest natural trona deposit in China with the highest grade and lowest content of toxic elements, featuring coexistence of solid and liquid.
