Folk crafts from Guizhou province went on display in the Czech Republic capital of Prague on June 23 as part of a series of the province's global promotion events.
Speaking at the exhibition's opening ceremony, Sun Zhigang, the governor of Guizhou province, said that he believed Guizhou's ethnic and folk culture will enrich the world's culture. Sun also spoke highly of the Czech Republic's long history and various cultures, and hoped to learn how to protect and explore folk culture from the country.
Sun extended an invitation for Czechs to visit Guizhou to experience its charm. He also stated that Guizhou is looking forward to cooperating further with the Czech Republic in terms of culture, economy and tourism.
A publicity film about Guizhou was screened at the meeting. Also displayed were handicrafts made in Guizhou and the Czech Republic.
