The opening ceremony of the first National Youth Games is held at the Haixia Olympic Sports Center in Fuzhou, Fujian province, Oct 18. The NYG is the largest sports meeting ever in Fujian, with more than 7,900 athletes aged between 13 to 21 from 80 cities competing from Oct 18 to 27. Over 300 sports events will be held in all nine prefecture-level cities and the Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone, with Fuzhou staging more that 60 percent of them. [Photo/Xinhua]
