The authority is preparing for the softball matches of the first National Youth Games (NYG), ptnet.cn reports on May 12.

The Games will kick off in Fuzhou, capital of Fujian province, on Oct 18. It is the largest national sports meet Fujian has ever hosted.

The softball matches will be held in Pingtan in the second half of October. And a series of test games has been arranged for late July.

Construction of a stadium is underway, and Pingtan has set up a committee responsible for related matters.

Pingtan will pay attention to the preparations. It will also invite Taiwan professionals to the test games, said Liang Qinlong, deputy director of Pingtan’s administration.
