A group of overseas Chinese from Thailand visited the Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone on Nov 7 and 8 to learn more about its development potential.

Xie Xiutong, a senior official of the pilot zone, greeted the guests and urged Chinese entrepreneurs in Thailand to invest in Pingtan so as to boost its development.

Pingtan was the first stop of the group's tour in Fujian, and Yu Shengqing, president of the Thailand Overseas Chinese Association, said he was impressed by Pingtan's advanced engineering technology and comprehensive construction plans, and he vowed to strengthen communication with the county and to bring more entrepreneurs.
