A delegation from the US state of Oregon visited the Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone on September 25 to exchange views on the construction of ecological communities.

You Mengjun, deputy director of the Pingtan administrative committee, welcomed the members of the delegation, and said he hopes that the two sides will be able to increase communication.

He also said that Pingtan adheres to the concept of "ecological, inclusive, intelligent and low-carbon" urban planning, while Oregon leads the US - and the world - in the sector of sustainable development and energy saving in urban construction. You added that Pingtan aims to learn from Oregon's rich experience to improve its own urban construction.

Members of the US delegation said they were very impressed by the fast development of Pingtan and that they hope to launch cooperation programs with the county.
